Let's remember about safety! When preparing for a ski trip, you should think about a helmet, we can buy it or rent it. We recommend that every skier and snowboarder ride in a helmet for their own safety. I
n Poland, since December 31, 2011, the use of the helmet is mandatory until the age of 16. This is governed by the Act of 18 August 2011 on safety and rescue in the mountains and in organized ski areas, article 29 o
f which. says:"If you are skiing or snowboarding in an organised ski area until the age of 16, you must use a protective helmet designed for this purpose while riding." Failure to co
mply with these rules may result in a fine. Both
the European Union and the International Ski Federation do not regulate the obligation to use ski helmets. The International Ski Federation only recommends and does not require the use of such helmets by skiers and snowboarders. The order to wear a helmet is governed by the regulations of individual countries or ski re
sorts, for example: – in Italy, children under 14 are required to wear helmets (approved). from 1 January 2005. A caregiver can pay up to €150 in fines for non-compliance with t
his obligation, with up to 15 children in Austria in 2010. norway and Slovenia,
